Mailing Lists
Mailing List Overview
KDE (as many other open source projects) uses mailing lists as main way of communication.
Many mailing lists of KDE are described on the mailing lists description page. Most KDE mailing lists are handled by the Mailman interface (Here too is a list with descriptions).
Most KDE mailing lists are publicly archived in lists.kde.org, some are only archived in the Mailman interface; in that case they might be reserved to subscribers (therefore not public).
Of course in KDE there are mailing lists that are more oriented for translators, general ones and also language-specific ones. (The language specific languages are listed only in the Mailman interface. Mostly they have the language code in their name.)
Mailing List kde-i18n-doc
The main mailing list for translators in KDE is the mailing list called kde-i18n-doc.
You can subscribe it at its Mailman interface.
The archive is at lists.kde.org. (The archive is public.)
The direct email is kde-i18n-doc@kde.org.
Mailing List kde-doc-english
The mailing list for discussing about untranslated messages and untranslated documentation is kde-doc-english.
You can subscribe it at its Mailman interface.
The archive is at lists.kde.org. (The archive is public.)
Mailing List kde-commits
In KDE, there is a mailing for notification of every change in KDE SVN. This mailing list is called kde-commits. The mailing list is not read-only, and often there are discussions about a commit, when other developers do not find the commit right.
You can subscribe it at its Mailman interface.
The archive is at marc.info. (The archive is public.)
Mailing List kde-bugs-dist
In KDE, there is a mailing for notification of every change in KDE SVN. This mailing list is called kde-bugs-dist. The mailing list is read-only. If you want to reply to a message, please do it to the corresponding bug report.
You can subscribe it at its Mailman interface.
The archive is at marc.info. (The archive is public.)
