KDE Localization
The platform for KDE contributors working on Internationalization [i18n], Localization [l10n], and documentation of KDE.
(This is a prototype partial Hugo port being developed at https://invent.kde.org/moonlight/l10n-kde-org)
Here you can find these resources:
- The current list of KDE translation teams and their coordinators, mailing lists, websites, and status
- Translation statistics for applications or documentation manuals
- Tutorials for how to get into translation. Also see the Localization section on TechBase, which will hopefully eventually be migrated here. Find out how to introduce a new language to KDE, how to translate the user interface, the documentation, and everything related to this process.
- Coding aspects of translation (i.e. Internationalization) are covered in the Techbase Localization Tutorials.
- Other docs on the translation process and documentation-writing process
If you would like to participate in the translation of KDE software, simply contact the mailing list of the particular team you want to participate in. You can find the mailing list address by clicking in the name of the team you want to join in the list of all the active teams.
If there is no team for your language, the team does not have a mailing list, or you do not get an answer in some time (wait at least a week), please contact the kde-i18n-doc mailing list.
If you have any questions, take a look at Quick FAQ.
